Organic State of Mind
I like my music organic
awakening my senses
to the natural rhythm
of a simple hoop drum
made from my own hands
stretching the tough hide
weaving strands through
each hole of my being
mending the weak spots
strengthening flat notes
an apple drumstick, sweet
and delicious leaving a
lasting taste in the vibrations
of each breath
inhale
exhale
I like my music organic
raw and un-tethered
allowing fluid movement
from beat to beat...
resonating with positive vibes
lyrics from the heart
nothing artificial...
raw full of emotions
connecting with the
inner most part of
of my being
I like my music
tuned into the
frequency of love
pure and natural
no additives...
harmony
I like my music like love
I share my real heart & soul
there is nothing more
precious to give....

A fine music to take tune, speaking down deep as it continues to play, hopefully all through the day
ReplyDeleteThanks Pat may we always be in-tune...
DeleteOh how lovely to read this! It is not only your music, but music made of self and all joys and sorrows. How detailed the images of making a resounding drum, what a gift of love to share!
ReplyDeleteThanks Susan, making a drum is a journey in itself..
DeleteReturn to the ancient rhythm and sing your own melody
ReplyDeleteSing I will..thank you Cloudia...
DeleteSigh! I was serenaded by this beautiful poem as I rode each note along...fabulous especially the ending!
ReplyDeleteThanks Donna, it is good to feel the notes...

ReplyDeleteHi Sherry,
DeleteThank you, my drum is a healing balm...

ReplyDeleteMe too Alex, no better way to enjoy the music of the soul...

DeleteYour soul sings beautifully Trudessa. I enjoyed reading this. Made me See you, the loving person you are.
ReplyDeleteMyrna, Thank you for such a lovely comment..
DeleteWonderful thoughts here, Truedessa. I agree the best music is organic. It is real, and it makes a person FEEL. Perfect harmony, no additives <---I especially like that!
ReplyDeleteMary, sometimes we just need to feel the music..
DeleteThe beating of the drum and the beating of your heart in unison by the look of it.
ReplyDeletePerhaps, Old Egg but, it took some practice to nail down the rhythm.
DeleteA wonderful pulse to this piece. Emotive. Freeing. And beautifully written.
ReplyDeleteThanks Wendy, I hope you are feeling better.
DeleteI had never thought of the concept of organic music before but wow...now your post resonates. I like my music organic as well.
ReplyDeleteHi Keith, I don't like music that is overly processed. Sometimes, I just like a guy with his guitar unplugged or to listen to a singer"s real voice and I do enjoy playing my simple hoop drum. There is no agenda I just sit in stillness and drum.
DeleteMake it so says Captain Picard and it shall be done replies Q with a flick of her fingers! What he says "that was way to easy!!!"
ReplyDeleteha - if only the solutions of the world could be that easy to solve. Thanks for visiting...
Deleteboo and hiss on the additives
ReplyDeleteexactly - you have to watch those additives...
DeleteOrganic, truthful and clear - no better song!
ReplyDeleteTo that I would agree...
Deleteno, there is not anything more special to give.
ReplyDeletewe can not force love, nor music. if we do, you can tell.
organic is def best, letting it take its time and develop.
hello, my friend.
Hello my friend,
DeleteIt is nice to see your pic pop up...you are right organic is the way with music and love..
Love this. This is exactly how music should be. And you can always tell when music is organic and when it's something that's just been produced like a formula.
ReplyDeleteHey Guys that is very true and in today's music industry we get a lot of formula music that is why it sounds the same...what happened to natural chemistry..
DeleteThank you Loredana - nice to see you again!
