Indescribable

You knocked on the door to my heart
I welcomed you into my revolving world
in between we found a new kind of love
designed just for us; two lost souls

A realm of higher complexity
an  astral plane that only we could fly
floating in a dreamy trance like state
embracing the unknown, we touched

Undeniable
    Indescribable
        Indefinable

We walked in golden sunlight
danced under blue moonlight
flew the infinite cosmic heavens
hung on to the fringes of reality

Transcended moments in time
drifted in the shadows of yesterday
navigated future possibilities
spiritual journey to the other side..

Unquestionable
  Incommunicable
    Inexpressible

Searching for a deeper meaning..a dream quest...
tell me it meant something to you
my moccasins now worn, the soles have softened
traveling the path of pines and dried leaves
chasing a clearer vision.

author's note: I meditated this morning and asked for a message
This older poem made its way into my line of vision. I edited it
a bit, but I feel these are the words I need to share today.

Thank you for reading and your time...

peace, light and love always...

Enlighten Me!

You have your dreams, I have mine
we can still live in this world together
enlighten me, let's drink from the vine
write a tale about a love that's forever

we can still live in this world together
discover deep mysteries of the heart
write a tale about a love that's forever
manifest an original creation of art

discover deep mysteries of the heart
let our ballad be heard far and wide
manifest an original creation of art
sing me a song of who you are inside

let our ballad be heard far and wide
sad and sweet echoing through time
sing me a song of who you are inside
touch me with your internal rhymes

sad and sweet echoing through time
enlighten me, let's drink from the vine
touch me with your internal rhymes
you have your dreams, I have mine

Forgotten Ways

Standing on the little porch, I smudge myself from head to toe . The sweet grass and sage seem to know which way to go,  shaking off the day's negative energy. I have been carrying a heavy load.  In the shadows a cat meows my eyes intuitively search the darkness for his place of hiding. There is an aura of mystique circulating the air.

I enter the house as,  I have so many times before.  Removing my worn leather moccasins resting them between the Nikes and Sperry's.  I guess,  we all have our own shoes to fill in the journey.  I embrace my hostess in customary hug.  Entering the dimly lit room I select my place within the circle of  friends. Spreading out my blanket, silently asking creator to bring the group a message of healing and hope.

Circling clockwise, one voice at a time we speak our names letting the vibration of consonants and vowels fill the space between us. Our drums in hand each unique in design. The animals spirits deer, elk and buffalo guide us in our meditation.  Drumming for mindfulness brings clarity and visions.

I quickly slip into another state of consciousness with each thump of the drums .  The room softly fades in the backdrop.  I find myself in a green meadow.  Breathing renewed life, the trees seem to sway to the distant beat.  Sitting in a clearing under skies of blue. The red tailed hawk soars overhead. There is inner peace in this place of my choosing.  My heart wishes to stay but, I hear the big drum calling me back to the fold. A message seems to flash in my head, "remember who you are, caretaker of the earth".  I woke,  pondering the question. Have humans lost their way in a modern world?

This Snow Needs to Go

clouds
pregnant gray
birthing cold snowflakes
blanketing signs of spring life

snow fall dreaming of warmer
days. I gave the Cinquain a new twist.

Let Me Paint You a Story

pixabay

Beneath winter's snow moon
seeking color to brighten the mood
pigments of you and I run together

brushing starlight into a darken sky
my dreams alive in vibrant hues
layers of blues, sing in the night

searching for undiluted words
bold with meaning, breathing life
fiery passion into sleeping dragonflies

awakening to the scent of violets
connecting heaven and earth
spring blooms feather out upon
the canvas of my mind

let me paint you a picture story
in an endless sky, about a love that
will never die...

Making Tracks Will the River Crack

Walking along the river's edge in solitude, I close my eyes in the morning light. Inhale the freshness of the pines, let peace flow through my soul. Opening my heart, keeping my dreams alive, in hopes they will never die.  Making tracks with my winter boots leaving imprints in the quest. A red tailed hawk flies overhead,  telling me there is nothing to dread.  It's time to change perspective to see beyond frozen choppy waters.  I wrap threads of soft blue wool around my neck, keeping me warm on a cold day.

The remains of yesterday swirl,  left over snowflakes, not the kind made from scissors and paper.  The kind that dance upon your eyelashes to the song of a misty day. I've seen the parade of souls marching to a sacred drum they came in various forms singing ancient songs. Sometimes,  they make quite the clatter as if to say did their  life really matter?  How many miles did they paddle in their canoes to find a place of heart?  In silence, I make my way home.
