Hi Alex,
DeleteThanks for hopping over for a read. I didn't know that bit of trivia thanks for sharing.
Verses and imagery complement each other ~ I specially like this part:
ReplyDeletelanguage from a poet's heart
arising from darkness true light
Beautiful cinquains Truedessa ~ Thanks for joining in ~
Hi Grace,
DeleteA fun prompt as I really enjoyed these amazing photo's.
nice...love the soft white rose of your heart...
ReplyDeleteand i can see it opening...really nice comparison...
and the movement from darkness to light....
Hi Brian,
DeleteAs you know, I just adore roses of any color..they will always stir my muse to write.
Letting the darkness be in the past as light brings a mighty blast, the rose blooming bright, taking away the night. Have to fill that empty space and sure as heck embrace
ReplyDeleteThe rose the center or core of the heart full of beauty and pain.
DeleteI liked now your words made me see the photo in a different way than when I had first seen it.
ReplyDeleteWell, I guess art is about perception and how the work speaks to us. I am glad you had another view. Thanks for visiting.
DeleteWell penned cinquains, Truedessa. I especially like the last one, which gives me a sense of tranquility.
ReplyDeleteHi Mary,
DeleteThanks always nice to hear your thoughts.
i like to think of all life unadulterated by culture as real live as love..whether flower animal..or so called primitive culture human beings..to live in peace is love by flower..sparrow..or eskimo to me..:)
ReplyDeleteLiving is peace is what the journey should be about. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
Deletethst 2nd stanza--really profound; especially liked, "perfumed white rose
ReplyDeletelanguage from a poet's heart". That says, to me, 'bold, yet subtle.' Simply because I adore the color white and that goes well with poetry, too... smiles.
Hi Anthony,
DeleteThe white rose is symbolic in many ways..a sign of devotion and love.
Cupping petals of light... that's my favourite line in a wonderful poem... and reflects the photo wonderfully!
ReplyDeleteThank you..cupping light..oh, if only we could all hold that cup..
DeleteThe rose can lead the roving heart astray. Great write Truedessa!
ReplyDeleteHank

DeleteI love that photo and the words that accompany it. Love it light and light is love. They are inter-dependent. Great job Truedessa.
ReplyDeleteLight and love go hand in hand..
DeleteBeautiful. I like your choice of words, tranquil, meditative. It made me feel centered, and focusing on love.

DeleteEnlarged picture showed me just what you saw, Truedessa! (Maybe?)
ReplyDeleteLight accentuates truth, and truth is LOVE. (My interpretation--grin!) Scintillating picture and matching words--yours!
