“Swedish White Moose” by Vika Muse |
Beyond the burnt red sky
puffy eyes laden with tears
my heart heaves a long sigh
there is a place I have seen
past the crumbling rubble
there's a forest of lush green
here the white moose roams
his hooves the only noise I hear
steadfast in his natural home
strong and full of confidence
growing antlers, the cycle of life
living each day in peace and silence
light illuminates through the trees
fireflies flutter under moon's glow
enchantment in a soft spring breeze
"dare I rest for
this one night
slumber in the magic of a dream"

May it be so for all inhabitants of the earth…
DeleteI want to be in that forest. A white moose was seen in the prairies this year. A most beautiful poem.
ReplyDeleteMe too, my friend. That moose is mystical and beautiful roaming in a place of lush green
DeleteI was so intrigued by this image and hoped that someone would choose it and transform it into words. This is a beautiful translation. If only it need not be a dare to dream such a thing, such a place....as peace and freedom.
ReplyDeleteYes, it spoke to me so mystical under the rays of light. Well, hopefully dreams of peace will manifest. We need to dream even in chaos.

Love the above stanza, True! It describes the regal being of the moose on the loose! How's things with you Ma'am?
Hank
Thank you Hank! I am doing better this week last week was not so good. I hope you are recovering.
DeletePeace & health my friend…
Sounds very peaceful.
ReplyDeleteThe artwork looks dreamy. Just think there are actually white moose walking the planet.
DeleteWhat a beautiful place to be lifted up to. Thank God we humans can dream
ReplyDeleteMuch💜love
I will second that, dreams keep us going.
DeleteNicely done. The world of fantasy is the only thing that helps soften the reality of war.
ReplyDeleteThank you Dwight! I agree we need a bit of fantasy a distraction from the harsh reality of war. We need positive energy in all this negativity. Sigh
DeleteI thought you would write to the dragon picture... but that moose is so very majestic and nice. They are not so uncommon in one part of Sweden
ReplyDeleteI may still write one to the dragon, you know i love dragons.
DeleteThis is a restful and beautiful place to be. Love the line:
ReplyDeleteliving each day in peace and silence
If only we could all live in a place of peace.

This is what moves me a lot because I often think: Am I dare to live my usual life when people are suffering in the other parts of my country? My art is the way to escape from this suffering. Thank you for this beautiful poem. It's amazing💛💙
Yes, you should dare to dream, one must never stop hoping and dreaming. Your art creations are beautiful and offer a place of refuge from the harshness of life. Your artful expressions are a gift and i thank you for sharing. The white moose is symbolic of peace and harmony. Please know my thoughts are with you and your country. . “Dream on, dream on, dream until your dreams come true”…. Love and hope and dreams….
DeleteSo beautiful and you paint a tranquil scene.
ReplyDeleteThank you
