Between Tu-Lip

Tulip Festival

Between tu-lips, lies heartfelt words
listen closely for springtime rhymes
singing freely, with the songbirds
poets wander, leaving small signs

poetry found in a flower bed
between tu-lips lies heartfelt words
blooming colors, purple, yellow and red
in silence, something inside stirred

verses whispered, tell me you heard
in the garden, the sparrow's song
between (tu-lips) lies heartfelt words
embracing love, can that be wrong

why do beautiful dreams fade away
without light visions become blurred
love wilts, into the ghost of another day
between two-lips, lies heartfelt words

Enchanted Moose on the Loose

“Swedish White Moose” by Vika Muse

Beyond the burnt red sky
puffy eyes laden with tears
my heart heaves a long sigh

there is a place I have seen
past the crumbling rubble
there's a forest of lush green

here the white moose roams
his hooves the only noise I hear
steadfast in his natural home

strong and full of confidence
growing antlers, the cycle of life
living each day in peace and silence

light illuminates through the trees
fireflies flutter under moon's glow
enchantment in a soft spring breeze

"dare I rest for this one night
slumber in the magic of a dream"

Shadow Prey

The Sunday Muse

Darkness sweeps across the sky

shadows of you and I  creep past

in this lonely room of heartbreak

sharp talons wait, a  bird of prey

in the corner shapes take form

hints of imagination begin to stir

in this altered reality,  breathing

shallow caws, a blackbird's song

wandering the internal labyrinth

in the distance a black moon rises

drifting into a  conscious slumber

surrealism appears beyond the veil

there under a massive bonsai tree

an oracle of insight with long graying hair

wisdom interwoven in his braided beard

ushering me to sit across from him

pouring a warm cup of ancient tea

bowing my head , sipping its flavor

his eyes green emeralds of the sea

touching my heart of indigo blue

a soft flutter of mending wings

cupped within my  hands of hope

light filters through the dark void

opening my palms, taking flight

freeing the captive within

Author's note:  I have had a rough week and part of this poem
is from a dream encounter.  Wishing you peace & health

Forest Traffic - on the Street of Dreams

"Forest Traffic!" Digital Art by Pulkit Kudiwal

High on a limb the white owl watches
the forest signals of impending change
cautiously, crossing lines of time

who can stop the oncoming traffic
mama taught me to look both ways
even when traversing a mystical path

courageous lion and mongoose stand guard
who will walk the the street of dreams
once four Beatles crossed Abbey Lane

sometimes, you have to let it be
in quiet darkness, I think of you
blue world, spins counter clockwise

I hear the songs of nature's creatures
in a forest bed, drifting into a slumber
under a thousand stars, a willow weeps

will we ever find our way
I will be waiting for that day

The Fox, Feather and Dream

mysteries of the silver tongue
words inked in a nocturnal realm
quilled ballads, forever unsung
mysteries of the silver tongue
dreams hidden from the morning sun
dying limbs of broken wing elms
mysteries of the silver tongue
words inked in a nocturnal realm

I See Myself With a Different Eye

artist unknown

I see myself as a night traveler
awakening in blue misty fog
traveling moonbeams from
here to there...

I see myself soaring the heavens
on unfurled wings searching for
light, dancing in the stars...

I see myself connected to others
weaving threads of our lives
strengthening our bond...

I see myself on the river's edge
reflections of the transformation
of my journey and life...

I see myself under a weeping willow
crying, hoping you won't have to...

I see myself sleeping in the darkness
sometimes afraid,  as I know not
what the night will bring...

I see myself and the world through
different eyes...and I wonder when
you look at me...do you see my
imperfections, my sorrow....

I see myself and I wonder who am i...
a dreamer who dances in the
clouds, giving my heart and I don't
know why?

Half Past Two!

With my eyes,  when I sleep
half past  two, I dream of you
in an  infinite universe...so deep

flying the sky ways, lost and alone
my thoughts no longer my own
I dream, I dream of you..

Am I dreaming my life away
or is my life caught in a dream
I stream a lover's scene...

I see a vision before my eyes
a love so intense it makes me cry
two souls tango in a night sky

orbiting around silver stars
cohesive in thoughts
body and mind

 slipping into your arms
I find my peace, I find my calm
drifting off to sleep..
