Black & White Paper |
Tired
of sleeping alone
in
love with a ghost
haunting
me in the night
want
to feel warm flesh
beating
against mine
but,
all I grasp is cold air
shiver
runs down my spine
hollow
eyes follow me
on
sheets of black and white
ink
splatters on the pages
Love
intertwined in madness
silent
moans of endearment
eerie
echoes of emptiness
tango
in the shadow lands
my
heart stirs in quiet pain
breath
of life blows in my soul
touching
my spirit, sweet ecstasy
collapsing
into the arms of a dream
Author's note: Artistic Interpretations for imaginary garden with real toads
Such madness can be fun

Hi Pat,
DeleteYou always seem to be number one..thank you for your support always nice to see you call and write on my wall.
ink splatters on the pages...
ReplyDeleteI have heard that it is a great idea to write all dreams down... and I like the ending line alot. Although, I wouldn't want to collapse into a nightmare.
Hi Margaret,
DeleteThanks for reading my work and the comment. Yes, I do keep a dream journal as I am studying dreams and dream interpretations. Nightmares are not dreams that I am fond of but, they usually hold depth of some sort. Thanks again!
I like where you took this one! Wonderful to see how many varied poems came from these pictures!!
ReplyDeletePeggy,
DeleteThank you for the comment. As I took in the art I could feel a ghost speak to me in the swirls of black and white.
I think it's fascinating how each writer is inspired by Chelsea's art! I enjoyed reading about the impact it had on you.
ReplyDeleteHelen,
DeleteI am glad you enjoyed my interpretation. The prompt was interesting as art is always seen through different eyes. The black and white paper swirls the imagination...
I would love to have dreams of sweet ecstasy but no nightmares for me. Lately when I wake up, I can't remember my dreams anymore. Good to see you at RT ~

nice...you really bring emotion to the movement in the picture and bring it to life in this...some dreams would not be bad to keep around for when we need ...smiles.
