early am waiting for the crown of light to appear over the horizon
come with me let us drift for one day in golden sunshine
let our minds and hearts run free even if just for
today
take my hand..let us travel to another land a garden of
Eden
remove our cloaks run naked in spirit feel the warm heat
on our skin
no need to hide our sins together together.
like children full of laughter in the delights of
life..embracing our freedom
wildflowers swaying in a spring breeze
wildflowers swaying in a spring breeze
run wild with me
slip into a dream release soft screams holding
tight for a moment in time
let us create our own exquisite rhyme
You and I lost in springtime
just for the day
just for the day
drifting away
on the seeds of a dream
we spring to life
I like how the ending imitates a drifting away.
ReplyDeleteLaurie,
DeleteThank you for reading and I always enjoy drifting away.
Such a day
ReplyDeleteI like at my bay
As two become one
And just get lost in the sun
Pat,
DeleteThanks, I have to say such a day would be grand basking in the warmth of springtime.
Love the sentiments in your poem. The running wild, the drifting, the springing to life! Nice.
ReplyDeleteHi Mary,
DeleteThanks so much and I'm glad you enjoyed the poem. We are all longing for signs of spring to burst forth.

Truedessa, your beautiful site, first time here! I love your madcap rambling, as pure as a little child and as wild as the wind. I know you are going to have a lovely Spring, what with your attitude of come-what-"May"! Inspiring and fun. Thanks, Amy Barlow Liberatore
ReplyDeleteAmy,
DeleteThank you so much for your kind words and for visiting my site. A pleasure to have you here. Spring holds the mystery of rebirth in one's life. I am looking forward to some new growth within.
Running barefoot, running wild - just the kind of spring I love the most.

ReplyDeleteClaudia,
DeleteThank so much! I enjoyed the prompt to write about something spring like and this is what spoke to me. A carefree feeling of newness as life grows around us the beauty of nature singing a tune.
Great flow!

ReplyDeleteHi,
DeleteThanks so much for the read and reply. I was striving for fun from the daily grind of life. I bit of rebirth in the spring light.
I'm almost ashamed to admit what spring does to my Poetic Me. The operative word being almost. CLICK
ReplyDeleteWell, I don't think I'll venture there as spring is a state of mind I guess, operative word "almost"..laughing
