Stringing Stars

I would string glistening stars for you
lighting the way out of darkness
chasing away melancholy blues
composing a song, we’ll call progress
moving beyond this worldly view
there a place where we can decompress
singing songs of hope to see us through

  1. Truedessa, reading through your poem, my mind took me to a small group of people sitting around a campfire in a clearing in a deep wood, where we are looking up at the stars and singing songs. Thank you for taking me there.

  3. Your poem cheered me up this evening, Truedessa. No stars here tonight, it’s been raining and overcast all day, but I can imagine a string of stars.
