Standing in wonderment
from a distant vantage point
pondering the need to conquer
light
I need no ladder or rope
to scale the orb of
enlightenment, my
vision is clear in a golden
oasis
The beauty
of life
is right
before me in the promises
of reflective light
standing on the edge of
reality I am the dream
child of the future...
embracing light with
love
I am the dream child of the future....how lovely. My hope is in these clear-eyed young people.
ReplyDeleteAnd love is the key to light!
ReplyDeleteWell said!
DeleteThis is a delightful and hopeful poem... love it.
ReplyDeleteIt is important, I think, to try to keep that clear vision. Not always easy though. I like the idea of thinking of oneself as dream child of the future embracing life with love! May it be so! Do take care of yourself, and do not be a stranger!
ReplyDeletemay it be so

ReplyDeleteTo embrace light with love is a human's highest calling, is it not?
ReplyDeleteAfter all these years you still never cease to amaze me, True.
ReplyDeleteThank you Blue, We have traveled the road together all these years yet, I wonder how far have we actually advanced.
DeleteThinking of you!
This is so hopeful.. I needed that today.
ReplyDeleteI love this so much. I love the tone and descriptions, because they so show us the girl in the image with such accuracy, because they remind us of what really matters. Love is the brightest ladder.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous poem! "embracing light with love"
ReplyDeleteFrom the bemusement in the first line, I was captivated by this. The idea of enlightenment as a displacement is a flash of insight!
